Evangelism Workshop Part-1

On Saturday, January 7th, 2023 many people, most of those being college students, came together to learn how to evangelize among college campuses. The night started with joyful and encouraging praise and worship led by L*ittle S*arah K*im. After praise and worship K*ristin W*eed lead a demonstration on the bridge diagram with the key verse Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ our Lord.” In this demonstration, K*ristin called up an attendee from the audience and role-played as if she were at a college campus. She showed us how to ask the right questions and drew up the bridge diagram breaking down the key verse to show the differences between our life before sin and our life after being saved.

In learning the diagram everyone was partnered together to practice the bridge diagram with each other. Every pair was provided with two sheets of paper, one clear sheet to draw up the diagram, and one sheet with a step-by-step explanation on how to follow through. Afterward, we reflected on our practice and L*ittle S*arah K*im and D*indo gave a role-play demonstration of sitting down with a college student and talking to them about the basis of the gospel, the ten commandments, and how to invite them to bible study.

Those who attended the first workshop came out to campus the last two weeks to practice sharing the Gospel. The Holy Spirit led many students to hear the Gospel and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior through them.

There will be a follow-up titled “Evangelism Workshop Part 2”, which will take place on Saturday, February 4th, 2023.  For this workshop, we will review what we learned, report what God has done, and recharge to go forth!
