Celebrating Founders Day with God’s Blessing — “Bible Reading Project”

1 Peter 1:25, “but the word of the Lord remains forever.”

1 Corinthians 3:7, “but only God, who makes things grow.”

On October 3, the Founders Day celebration was held at Chicago UBF. This year's theme was “Bible Reading Project.” The celebration began with representative prayers of Joseph (NJ), Mary (U of C), and Abraham (Mexico). It is followed by the heart-moving special song of CBF children led by Tim. Pastor Ron delivered the opening address with the theme, “The word of the Lord remains forever” on 1 Peter 1:24-25. Missionary Dr. John from France delivered a PowerPoint presentation with the theme, “God makes things grow” on 1 Cor 3:6-7. Seven young second-generation missionaries and shepherds presented testimonies. Seven testimony speakers are Sarah (Philadelphia), James (Canada), Aurora (Mexico), Chanwoo (Korea), Pauline (Denmark), Barnabas (Russia), and Mpho (South Africa). They testified about how they were transformed through Bible reading, revealing the transforming power of the word of God and spiritual growth. We could see the amazing work of God among young people. In the middle of their testimonies, HBF and college students performed a special song, entitled “Thy Word/Wonderful Words of Life.” Pastor Mark gave a prayer topic, “Let’s rededicate ourselves to reading, studying, and obeying his eternal word. Pray for young people worldwide to experience the life-changing power of God’s word, becoming spiritual leaders.” The program ended with Benediction by P. Abraham. We give all thanks and praises to God, who gave us such a great victory. We pray that the online Bible Reading Project will spread to all the chapters of UBF and bring a spiritual revival among young people throughout the world.

Part 2 - Young People's Gathering at the Leningrad House

The young people had a post-celebration after the Founders Day Program at the Leningrad House by the front lawn with food, fellowship and a cozy bonfire for s'mores and marshmallows. Many young people joined and it was a memorable time.
